Welcome to the Brown/Washington Family Reunion Website. This website is all about our upcoming family reunion and our FAMILY.  It will carry information that you need to know to participate in our UPCOMING family reunion.

The next Brown/Washington Family Reunion will be held in New Jersey (in or around the Atlantic City area).  Here are some things that you NEED to KNOW:

 Truly, it does a heart good to know that family is interested in having another family reunion.  Having said that, the last one was almost a dismal disappointment after the same show of interest when it was announced.  The same old families showed up.  Out of respect for them, the NEXT family reunion will be in the Atlantic City region since the majority votes came in early indicating that they would like for it to be in that area.  I humbly ask that we NOW MOVE forward with saving for the 2014 reunion. 

I am willing and open to moving the next one (2015) to the southern end of the East Coast. 

NOTE1:  We did not get any participation from down South at the 2013 reunion in Maryland.  This has been traditionally the case, and folks that always attend would like to see the South come NORTH and participate.   Then we would be a lot more willing to go South.   Fair is fair.  No one (not one person, even though there were promises, and at least one family paid, but later did not show) from the southern area came to the 2013.  Times are HARD for everyone, most have children and/or grandchildren that depend on them as well.  Yet, a few families, manage to always attend,  Start planning now to make the 2014 so that you can HELP us plan the 2015!  COUNTING ON ALL OF YOU!

NOTE3:  Get me emails for your family members, so that they can be invited and included in emails, and participate in our next reunion.

NOTE4:  I need each branch to WRITE their family history for the history book.  Janice and Joan has written Aunt Alvenia's.  I have written my Mother's (Florence's).  I have almost completed Aunt Mozelle's, and Lavonne and Isaac has given me information for Aunt Marcia's.  Veronica has been supplying me with information about Aunt Margaret, and I hope to have this information included in the next publishing of our history.  DEADLINE for this is February 28, but the sooner the better,  Uncle Bill's son lives in Prince George's County (at least he did).  I am going to try to locate him again, and see if he can help me with Uncle Bill's information.  Otherwise, we are going to patch as much information together about him as we can.

Celebrate our in New Jersey July 24- 27, 2014!

Dear family members:

Planning for the 2014 Brown/Washington family reunion is getting underway. Over the years our family has grown in size and so this is our attempt to get everyone together, share our history, and create new memories.

It is an honor to be planning and hosting our next family reunion.  I hope this year more of you will decide to participate.  It is always good to participate in the dialogue about the family reunion, and all comments are welcome.  It is better, however, to become a part of the runion by paying your fees, booking your hotel, and showing up for the reunion.  I am encouraging you to help me make this at least and annual event for our family.  There are some families that have been hosting their family reunion for 50 years or more.  We, too, can make this happen for us and our children and grandchildren. 

Planning has just begun, so there are NO DETAILS at this time beyond the HOLD THE DATE information sent to you via email earlier this month.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any suggestions, AND please make sure that you complete and return your family reunion survey.

VOTING IS OVER

Based on your votes, I will be finalizing the room reservation process with the Clarion Inn and Fun Dome.  The room rates are going to be $89.00 + 11% tax.  No deposit is required for your room.  HOWEVER, you must  book your room 5 days before check in!  The last day for check in will be JULY 20, 2013! Looking forward to seeing you all there.
